Tomorrow morning, between 7:30 and 8:00, the NPR station for northern Minnesota, KAXE, will be featuring my poem, "The Goat Man," on their program, The Beat. Here is a link to their page where you can live stream it on your computer at that time or check out the archives where it will be added after a day or two:

They will be featuring other poems, as well. I will give you a head's up when I know the dates.
Here is the post containing the poem:

Awesome! A read-aloud poet!
ReplyDeleteI'm very excited! Thanks, Linda!
DeleteGreat Poem , loved that photo too.
ReplyDeleteWhile I am speaking of photos, your header is wonderful !
Thanks so much, Willow!
DeleteA wonderful gem of a poem, Teresa. Delighted that you are getting the recognition.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much, George.
DeleteLovely. I hope to be back at work tomorrow morning after ghastly weather, but thank goodness for archives. A wonderful opportunity for you!
ReplyDeleteYes, the archives should include it tomorrow or the next day. It's a great opportunity...
DeleteNow that's exciting, do you read the poem yourself? Congratulations! I loved this first moment I saw it!
ReplyDeleteYes, I read the poems myself, record and email to them ... I'll probably put up the archives again when other poems are featured.
DeleteIt's wonderful that your poetry is being given to a wider audience. :) And what an awesome alternative to the usual radio drivel.
ReplyDeleteCongrats Teresa (well-deserved). May many people be blessed by the beauty of your writing.
Thank you, Bill. It is now in the archives for the 26th.
DeleteTeresa, I am so thrilled for you, and for the airing of "The Goat Man" on Thanksgiving morn. I have a note here by the computer, and one by my alarm, in hopes of hearing it in the morning. If I don't get to here it, however, I will definitely check the link/archives later. Well done!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Penny. It aired on the morning of the 26th and is now in their archives at the link.
DeleteI finally had a few moments to indulge, Teresa, and indulge, I did with your clear voice a song and your words musical notes. Wonderful! I listened, several times, for there is more to hear each time. I always feel poetry is better, more alive, when spoken. I enjoyed a few other poems as well.
DeleteI enjoy public radio here near Chicago, but . . . we don't have the more local type of programming, such as The Beat, that you have in MN or the programming in WI. I yearn for this. Thank you, dear one, for sharing your voice, as well as this programming.
I'm so glad you enjoyed it. Yes, my poem was between the bird feeder report and the ice skating pond report ... gotta love NPR ... :)
DeleteThanks for the links, Teresa. Love the header pic.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Tony. Hope all is well in your corner of the world ... :)
DeleteAbsolutely beautiful. I love the timbre and clarity of your voice.
ReplyDeleteThank you very much, Steven ...
