I believe Donald Trump must never be allowed anywhere near the White House, but this is not what I imagined for the first female President, nor did I ever imagine Elizabeth Warren would accept the role of Hillary's attack dog. This is an embarrassment all the way around.
I think we are looking at a one-term President no matter which one wins.
ReplyDeleteI hope so ...
DeleteOh. My. I think you are right, Teresa. Sad and embarrassing indeed. :-(
ReplyDeleteI think we must look ridiculous in the eyes of the rest of the world ...
DeleteI wish they would stop name calling and tell us what they will do if elected.
ReplyDeleteI am afraid neither of them have a very good plan for improving the lives of the American people ... they both scare me ...
DeleteI too believe Trump should not be allowed near the White House, especially if elected president. Hillary doesn't scare me as much --at least I can look at her without flinching.
ReplyDeleteI'm afraid she is flinch inducing for me ... recoil might be a better term ... perhaps my feelings run too strong ...
DeleteWe live in interesting times, don't we?
ReplyDeleteThere is an old Chinese curse that says, "May you live in interesting times." It's starting to feel as though we do live under that curse ... :)
DeleteI have been saying this for a long time...if this is the best we have to offer from either party then we are in big trouble. It is truly embarrassing to me.
ReplyDeleteI agree, wholeheartedly.
DeleteAs I've said a time or two, I can't vote for one and won't vote for the other. Thank goodness it's still June, and I don't have to figure it out before November. If only Harold Stassen still were around. He might have a chance, this time.
ReplyDeleteI'm right there with you ... Yes, where is Harold Stassen when we need him ? :)
DeleteThis whole race has been an embarrassment- I do believe we are the laughing stock of the whole world. This is not the first time I have had absolutely no one to vote for.
ReplyDeleteI think the American people are very tired of being asked to vote for the lesser of two evils ...
DeleteBernie Sanders and his campaign have raised my awareness of the skewed priorities of the ruling class and reawakened the anger I felt back in the 60s. His following gives me hope that things could change, if people will stay active and get engaged at all levels of government. I haven't felt any spark of optimism in a long time until he and E. Warren came along.
ReplyDeleteI agree ... Bernie sparked a long dormant political fire in me ...
DeleteHi Teresa, the older I get the more scary the world seems to get.... I mean look at the fiasco our lot have going on in the U.K. I've not know who to vote for the last few times we've polled. I don't envy your having to choose. ;)
ReplyDeleteHugs Jane
Jane, I'm so happy to hear from you. I was just thinking of you recently, wondering how you're doing ... yes, the world does seem to be getting scarier ... I don't even want to imagine where we go from here ...
DeleteDear Teresa, I'm worried over here in Europe too. I have read what you have been writing.
ReplyDeleteDo you know that we have the most sympathetic American guy as USA-ambassador here in Denmark? Rufus Gifford. We all love him. He is so sweet and charming. I wish we could keep him!
I don't understand how Trump can get any fans, they must be brain-washed or hypnotized all those who are screaming like wild at his meetings!
Grethe
Hello to Buddy! Wruf
Grethe.
Grethe, I can't tell you how wonderful it is to hear from you, you cross my mind often ...
DeleteIt seems the political climate is troubling all over ... what a mess we seem to be in .... impossible to understand how Trump can continue to sway people .... very frightening.
I've passed your greeting on to Buddy. He did very well in our game of catch today .... eight catches of the ball in a row. He was as pleased as I ...
