I Thought We Were an Autonomous Collective
Another day. Another catastrophe. Japan this time. I don't know about you, but I need some cheering up. Is it possible to support our fellow beings with laughter? I hope so. I think we could all use an influx of good energy. Perhaps it should be a Monty Python weekend. Here are the boys in one of my personal favorites, "The Annoying Peasant." It's all Cletis' fault. He started it.
Thank you Teresa. Yes, I think we need some laughs. I was trying to find some funny stories. Don't know if I can. It's like our dear planet is stressed. Grethe
Dear T....That was a classic movie..."BE QUIET"... I remember my favorite part...."what is your favorite color"? The old man says "I dont know that one" and is hurled into the depths....Perhaps my real favorite part was the old man who built a castle "and it sank into the swamp"...so he built a second and a third and a fourth....CLASSIC.
Ha! "Moistened bint." They did write some hilarious stuff, didn't they? Well, now there's another one to watch, and then another...I shall have a happier weekend after all. Thanks, Teresa, and you try and have a happy one as well.
Teresa, this is the first Monty Python I've ever watched. How embarrassing! However, I have to admit I laughed out loud. That doesn't usually happen much before noon.
That was a refreshing walk down memory lane.... by some Watery Tart. That's so funny. All the conversation is so truly hysterically funny. Thanks....Good idea. Manzi

Grethe, I'm afraid our dear planet is indeed stressed. Exactly so.
ReplyDeleteTim! So good to hear from you! You made me laugh just recounting some of those segments. Funny stuff.
Li, Gotta laugh. The alternatives weigh heavy.
Linda, I'm so glad I got to introduce you to these lads. They cheer me up every time. Glad it made you laugh before noon.
Lynn, You're welcome!
Manzi, you watery tart, glad you like them, too.:)
Monty Python ~ always a classic!
ReplyDeleteHappy Weekend Teresa!
xo Catherine
Have a happier weekend.
ReplyDeleteCat, Happy weekend to you!
ReplyDeleteAnd to you, too, Steve!
Always fun to see this!
ReplyDeleteHi Betty! Hope you and HOB have a great weekend.
ReplyDeleteHow about a big laugh from Bellingham? I'm trying to keep from crying...
ReplyDeleteDJan, I think we're at that laugh or cry stage right now. Comic relief is good, maybe necessary. So, laugh 'til you cry. It's good for the soul.
ReplyDeleteAh, a little Monty Python when we are all feeling so bad. Thank you.
ReplyDeleteAh yes the laughs are definitely stress relievers, such words of wisdom from mere peasants, what's a king to do.
ReplyDeletePenny, We do need to keep a sense of humor. It's healing.
ReplyDeleteYes, Linda, what's a king to do? :)
Hah! Good line, "What's a king to do?" Sometimes being a relentlessly annoying peasant may be a truly revolutionary action.
ReplyDeleteAll Hail The Pythons! Have A Fine Weekend Teresa.
ReplyDeleteNancy (BOG), Yes, I like that. I think I can do that, be an annoying peasant. :)
ReplyDeleteTony, Good to hear from you. And a fine weekend to you as well.
You know Teresa,
ReplyDeleteI have never seen Monty Python...I know, I know; I lead such a sheltered life. I've not even seen Rocky Horror Picture Show. Oh well!
Hi Tracy, I hope this served as a fun introduction. It's not to everybody's taste... :)
