Read his Leg...Harrison is a favorite of mine, too. Read his Legends in Esquire magazine years ago--blown away. Picked up other writings of his along the way. There's a scene in Legends the book that I remember: Ludlow goes out to saddle the horses in the barn to take his boys to Canada to fight. It's cold in the barn and Harrison writes that the breath of horses rose like little cloud prayers to the beams.
