I can see my g...Talk about bringing back memories! I can see my grandmother's fingers plucking away. I have somewhat of a squeamish stomach and think it may be related to the stuff one sees on a farm. BTW, lots of farmers put a bit of lye in the first batch of water, retrieved after a dunk, rinsed, then plucked. Did the same with peaches.
